Please read the following carefully as by visiting or making a purchase from this website, you agree to the following terms and conditions. This does not affect your non-excludable statutory rights. These conditions shall apply to all sales transactions between Petala Soaps and the purchaser placing an order with Petala Soaps for the manufacture and/or supply of any goods.

We reserve the right, with or without notice, to cancel or reduce the quantity of any products or services to be provided to you that we believe, in our sole discretion, may result in the violation of our Terms and Conditions. Petala Soaps reserves the right to amend their Terms and Conditions at any time; if changes are made, we will post a notice of any such changes on the website. We suggest that you revisit the Terms and Conditions from time to time to review any changes.

Products

All soaps and shampoo bars have been assessed and comply with current EU Standards. All products are handmade in small batches and therefore different batches may vary slightly in terms of colour, pattern, texture and scent. None of these variations will affect the quality of the product.

Photographic images on the website are only a general representation of the product. Ingredients are listed on both the product labelling and website. If a customer has a known sensitivity to an ingredient or allergen, it is their responsibility to check the ingredients list of the product prior to purchase.

Purchasing and Payment

When placing an order, you agree that all information given is accurate and complete. All orders are subject to acceptance and product availability. All prices listed on Petala Soaps are correct at the time of entering the information. We reserve the right to change prices of any product at any time. All prices include VAT.

We must receive payment in full for your order before it can be accepted. Once your credit or debit card has been authorised and the stock has been checked, we will send you an email receipt confirming your order. Please keep this receipt for your records. We can only accept orders for items that are in stock. If we are not able to fulfil an order we have accepted, your credit card will be re-credited with the original price and we will notify you by email. In no circumstances will we be liable to you for any additional amounts.

What Personal Data We Collect And Why We Collect It

We collect the following personal data: Your name and address details. Your email address. Your payment card information goes straight to our Payment Service Provider (PayPal). We do not see this information nor do we store it. Optionally, your landline or mobile phone number if you choose to give it to us.

We collect your personal data to fulfil the following requirements: Contractual obligation – Once we have accepted your order we need your name, address and contact telephone number to fulfil and successfully complete your order. Legal compliance – We have to keep accounting information for up to six years after the sale. Consent – From time to time we may wish to send you marketing emails, newsletters or special offers. You can opt in to receive these newsletters, you can also easily withdraw this consent at any time either by contacting us or “unsubscribing” from any of the email messages we send to you.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL YOUR PERSONAL DETAILS BE DISCLOSED TO THIRD PARTIES.

We will not share your data with any third party other than Royal Mail/Courier to enable us to deliver your order.

How Long We Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. Wherever we collect and process  your personal data, we’ll only keep it for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
